Our Vision

Skibbereen Community and Family Resource Centre (SCFRC) is a community and family support service in West Cork delivering a range of supports to a catchment area of approximately 16,000 people.

We offer services relevant to a range of issues focussing on community participation and social inclusion.

We promote health and well-being to individuals, families and groups and promote empowerment so that people can build on their strengths and resilience and make positive decisions for themselves.

We provide a range of universal and targeted services along with developmental opportunities. We provide early intervention and prevention services.

We provide one to one support for individuals, family supports and we work with families under the Meitheal model.

We offer a drop in service with a variety of information supports available. We work in partnership with various organisations and agencies throughout the region to provide the best supports to service users in this area of West Cork.

Founded in 2007 and operational since 2012, we work in line with HSE Community Work Principles and Tusla: Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures. The service receives funding from the HSE and Tusla.

Skibbereen Community and Family Resource Centre is a registered charity and CLG. The organisation is governed by a voluntary board of directors.

The organisation facilitates CE Scheme, TÚS Scheme, and work and voluntary placements.
